What a great weekend we had down in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia! We could not be happier about the outcome. Carmen was the recipient of 4 Music Nova Scotia Awards this weekend for her debut album Waitin’ and Seein’. The list of accolades includes Female Artist of the Year, New Artist of the Year, Rock Recording of the Year and Recording of the Year. Of course, Carmen was up against some tough provincial competition and we congratulate everyone on the recognition of their success. Here at Company House we are so excited that Carmen has been recognized for all her hard work over the years. It is very well deserved!
After all that excitement it’s also important that we give a shout out to our other favourite Cape Breton rockers, Slowcoaster on the win of Group Recording of the Year. Congrats guys!
We met so many great people, saw so many fabulous shows and even did some pretty rad bowling over the course of 5 days. Props to Music Nova Scotia for putting on another awesome event. We will see you in Liverpool 2012!

It’s been a fabulous 2011 so far with great sucesses for both Carmen and Tom Fun. Now that summer is here, both bands are getting ready to hit the road and visit the rest of Canada. Carmen and her band have started their Spring Cross Canada Tour this week. The shows start in Ontario and head west. Following the west coast dates, the band returns home to play some of your favourite East Coast summer festivals. Check the dates to the right if you are looking to catch any shows! Carmen is also touring with a new drummer, Steve Wilton. Steve happily stepped up to the plate to fill Thomas’s shoes after he broke his hand before the tour began. We are very glad to have him, so please give him a warm welcome as he rocks across Canada with Carmen and Shane.
Tom Fun will also be heading out this summer on a West Coast tour. Their dates start in June and they’ll be making sure they bring their rocking circus sideshow to a town near you! Since Thomas was also drumming for Tom Fun, they are in search for a summer drummer as well. Stay tuned for updates from the good ship Tommy Fun!

Hey Everyone!
We’ve been quiet because we’ve been so busy in the office getting things ready for May (and enjoying some spring sunshine). We had a great ECMA weekend in Charlottetown two weeks ago. Both Carmen and Tom Fun rocked the socks off PEI! We also got to meet lots of great new people and see lots of new bands! Massive congrats going out to all our friends who took home little pewter statues from the award show including Slowcoaster, Chris Colepaugh, Halifax Pop Explosion, Jamie Foulds and Tim Martin.
Now it’s spring! And with that comes… more travelling! Carmen and her band will be heading off to the UK in May for The Great Escape Festival, a Canadian Blast Showcase partnered with Music Nova Scotia and an appearance at The Liverpool Sound City Festival! This is Carmen’s first trip to the UK and we’re really excited for everyone to get a taste of the new record. Stay tuned for date and time information coming later this week.
Also later in May, after returning from their UK misson, Carmen, Thomas and Shane will hop in the van and drive across this beautiful motherland on a cross Canada tour. They’ll be making all kinds of stops, so again stay tuned for more dates and times. Information will be updated in the event section on the right as they are solidified. We hope you can make it out to some shows!

Hey everyone! We are back in our homeland of Canada after a two week adventure with Carmen Townsend and her band to CMW in Toronto and SXSW in Austin, Texas. We have had such a great time on the road and we even managed to make a few fun stops for surfing and sight seeing on the way home. What a life! The showcases at both festivals were amazing and we are so thankful to everyone for coming out and having such a great time with us. Special thanks to Paquin Entertainment and The Halifax Pop Explosion for inviting us to be part of their festival showcases. Now it’s on to the next thing! We have just two short weeks before we get ready and pack up the van again for the ECMA in Charlottetown, PE. We have a busy ECMA weekend planned and we are looking forward to hanging out in Charlottetown for the weekend. You can catch both Carmen’s band and Tom Fun multiple times throughout the weekend. We’ve listed the shows in the event section, so please come out and join us for a rockin good ECMA time!
